01 Why Crossway?

More than a scaffold quotation
Crossway Scaffolding has over 30 years’ experience in the industry, providing reliable and practical access solutions across a wide range of projects.
We work closely with our clients from the early stages of a project, helping to plan the right access solution around the programme, site logistics and specific project requirements.
We maintain high standards of health and safety throughout every project, supported by experienced management, a highly trained workforce and regular site monitoring.

02 Pre-construction & Tender Support

Early involvement that improves delivery
We support clients during tender and pre-construction, when early scaffold input can have the greatest impact on cost, programme and buildability.
Before work begins, our team will review drawings, phasing, logistical constraints and likely design requirements.
We can strengthen tenders through budgeting, value engineering, alternative scaffold systems, sequencing proposals and preliminary design advice.

03 | Experienced People & Consistent Site Teams

Continuity from mobilisation to completion
Our experienced, long-serving Contracts Managers and Site Supervisors bring extensive knowledge to every project.
Where possible, the same core operatives remain on a project throughout, maintaining familiarity with the site, programme, client standards and key interfaces while reducing the need to induct new personnel.

04 | Commercial & Project Management

Responsive support throughout the project
The commercial team manages quotations, variations, valuations and cost control, giving clients a clear point of contact for commercial queries.
The management team remains accessible throughout and will attend progress, logistics, design and coordination meetings as needed.

05 | Technical Capability & Scaffold Systems

The right solution for the project
Crossway works with proven and experienced scaffold design engineers to provide technical advice and engineered solutions for complex or non-standard requirements.
Our expertise spans Van Thiel Tube-Lock® and multiple ring-system scaffolds, allowing us to select the best method for each project rather than rely on a single system.

06 | Materials, Fleet & Additional Access Solutions

Control over the resources needed to deliver
We own all our scaffold materials, giving us full visibility of stock levels and availability without relying on third-party hire. Our well-maintained HIAB fleet supports dependable deliveries.
We coordinate and supply other access solutions such as NIKO Rail, Hoists and MEWPs, reducing the number of subcontractors clients need to manage.

Scaffolding systems we own:

  • Plettac Metrix
  • Van Thiel
  • Layher Allround Bridging System
  • Temporary Roof

07 | Safety, Quality & Ongoing Site Monitoring

Management does not stop after handover
Our Contracts Managers carry out weekly scaffold inspections, with our Operations Director completing quarterly SHEQ inspections to provide an additional level of assurance.
As part of SIMIAN’s annual retainer, they undertake two independent inspections each month across our live projects.
Our management team will attend site meetings to coordinate scaffold requirements with other trades and to discuss the project programme.

08 | Social Value, Apprenticeships & Local Employment

Creating value beyond the scaffold
Crossway supports apprenticeship development and maintains a pipeline of trainee scaffolders, helping build skills and long-term careers within the industry.
We prioritise local employment and local supply chain opportunities where practical and will support all project-specific social value commitments.
Our community engagement includes sponsoring Lindley Swifts Under 12s, fundraising for Andy’s Man Club and renewing our annual pledge to the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. In 2026, we also facilitated two Lighthouse visits across our live sites.
We are dedicated to support meaningful causes that make a real difference in people’s lives. We make a monthly contribution to Cancer Research UK, helping to fund vital research in the fight against cancer, and to NSPCC in their mission to protect vulnerable children from abuse and neglect. We often raise funds for Overgate Hospice, which provides compassionate end-of-life care to those in our local community.

09 | Long-Term Relationships & Industry Membership
